Tower
Lesson Program
Tower Music offers lessons on the following instruments by college-trained instructors:
We are fortunate to have a
wonderful staff of eighteen dedicated teachers. Each teacher personalizes their session for their
students. Students will learn scales, music theory, how to read music and how to play their instrument.

Goals, Commitments & Philosophy of the Tower Lesson Program
We strive for excellence in music instruction in the areas of technique, theory, and improvisation at all levels of proficiency from the casual, recreational music student to the college-level classical or commercial music student.
We pledge to help each student attain the best possible musical experience. While we realize that not each student aspires to be a professional musician, we do believe that each student is capable of acquiring musical skills and knowledge to enrich his or her life. Remember, playing an instrument should be fun!
In addition to providing enjoyment, therapeutic value, and achievement, we believe that the study of music contributes to the development of language skills, mathematics and scientific skills, imagination, creativity, short-term and long-term memory, positive self-image, social skills, coordination, and self-discipline.
The average student can learn and benefit from the study of instrumental music. Furthermore, students with learning disabilities are often aided by the study of instrumental music. Benefits are achieved by the student's simultaneous use of the touch, visual, and aural senses. The senses can then support and strengthen one
another, resulting in intense training in concentration far beyond that offered by any other academic subject.
Therefore, beyond the enjoyment and social advantages which instrumental music can bring to your student, an important reason for instrumental music is its ability to help your student learn how to learn.

TOWER
JAM! |
Classic
and new rock, blues, pop, country, jazz, reggae,
and more! |
Tower Jam is your chance to get on a REAL stage with
other Tower Music students and play a REAL gig, no matter what your age or skill
level!!! Tower Jam is an 8 week program where we sort the
students into bands, learn 4-5 songs, and play a Sunday afternoon gig at a local venue, currently Jilly’s in High Ridge.
Tower Jam is our answer to the growing trend of “School of Rock” style programs. Most programs like this focus mainly on rock and
blues, but it’s important to us that we try to influence our students with all styles of music. For that reason, our Tower Jam students
will be exposed to classic and new rock, blues, pop, country, jazz, reggae, oldies, and several other genres of music. |
All Tower Jam bands include one teacher and 4-6
students of all ages. Each student will be given the opportunity to play rhythm and lead guitar, and will be given parts
based on their skill level. All students will be pushed to learn new musical concepts and techniques, but only to a level
where they are still comfortable and having FUN, which is the most important part of playing music.
Tower Jam is $160.00 for current Tower Music students, which includes all materials and rehearsals. The only requirements are that the student
must be enrolled in Tower Music private lessons ($19/week), and should have been playing around a year, but exceptions can be made for exceptional students.
The $160 fee includes all music, practice c.d.’s, eight one-hour rehearsals, two tickets to the Tower Jam show ($10 value) and any other
necessary items. T-shirts and extra tickets will be available for purchase three weeks before the show.
